In August of 2006, SunFlare forged a strategic agreement with Idiom Technologies (Waltham, MA, USA) to become the exclusive distributor of Idiom's award-winning globalization management system - Idiom WorldServer. Through this groundbreaking agreement SunFlare and Idiom will jointly develop a Japanese version of WorldServer for distribution in the Japanese market.

WorldServer provides both computer-assisted translation and multilingual content management in one platform, allowing customers to reap the benefits of translation memory while also automating and streamlining the numerous tasks involved in large translation projects. Via WorldServer our clients can realize cost and time savings, as well as higher quality, more consistent translation.

Linguistic Technologies

WorldServer combines translation memory technology and terminology management into one central system, allowing multiple translators to collaborate simultaneously and ensuring consistency throughout large-scale multilingual translation projects. WorldServer supports the import of translation memories from other translation tools, such as TRADOS, allowing customers to leverage from previous legacy data. In addition WorldServer can export translation memory databases into a variety of formats supported by other translation tools, ensuring the integrity of their data for future use.

Asset Integration

Customers can use WorldServer to integrate their existing assets, regardless of the content or document management system currently used. WorldServer can connect to systems such as Interwoven, Documentum, Vignette, Microsoft SQL and Oracle, as well as home-grown content management systems. Furthermore WorldServer can handle content in virtually any file format, whether it be xml, html, MS Office files, DTP files or software resource files.

Process Automation

WorldServer provides customers with a customizable workflow to enhance project management. The workflow gives customers a interactive window to their projects allowing them to track the project throughout the translation process as well as providing them the ability to make necessary changes on the fly.

Business Management
