Translation and Localization in the IT and Telecom Industries
Under the slogan "Quality Serves as a Second Sales Rep," we have established an in-house quality assurance system under which more than 100 staff members including in-house translators, editors, and proofreaders collaborate with each other. In-house translators share customer information and exchange their translation knowhow with each other to help improve translators' skills. Past information assets are accumulated through knowledge management so that customers' needs can be fully satisfied.
With 110 licenses for using TRADOS, a translation support tool, we respond adequately to IT and Telecom translation and localization needs that require translation memory control for a large volume of translation. This tool allows the use of all translation assets and maximizes cost-effectiveness.
It also allows translators to use the same, consistent terms and expressions in the same document or throughout related documents, and satisfies customers in terms of quality, cost, and delivery time.
- We use TRADOS SDK to develop different tools such as a tool to search TagEditor and a preview tool. These tools help improve translation quality.
- We developed CheckMate, a tool to search style guides, which is used to check that translation rules are followed properly. This is an important tool in our quality assurance system.
- These tools improve translation quality, make us competitive in price, and allow quick delivery.
