SunFlare Academy is a translation school affiliated with SunFlare Co., Ltd., a translation company with over 35 years of experience. We provide various translation courses including correspondence courses to foster competent professional translators, give Translator Qualifying Examinations (TQE), and hold monthly seminars on translation. We also make plans, dispatch instructors, and prepare textbooks for language training in companies and in government offices.

SunFlare Academy provides courses on different segmented genres. You can also take the same courses of the same levels by correspondence. Our courses are available in a wide range of levels from introduction to Pre-OJT and support a variety of needs.

1. Provide courses on translation of various technical fields

Our weekly courses are available from Monday to Saturday, and you can select one from morning, afternoon, and evening classes. You can also learn by correspondence. You can select an appropriate level and study at your own pace.

2. Give Pre-OJT & OJT to make a step up

Our Pre-OJT and OJT program provides those who have passed a given achievement test or trial with on-the-job training on the fields of patent specifications, localization, and medicine.

3. Enroll students in SunFlare as translators

Those who have completed a technical course and passed an achievement test are enrolled in SunFlare Co., Ltd. They can start a career in translation depending on the field of expertise.

The Translator Qualifying Examination (TQE) is intended to find those who can produce a volume of high-quality translation in a limited period of time. Skills to produce reliable translation of commercial value are determined against 5 criteria established from years of experience in translation. Grades given according to these criteria have been verified by practical translation in more than 500 companies, and have received high recognition and confidence from them.
